Craft Sale, "Christmas Under The Edge"

On a cold winters night the faithful turned out to man (or woman actually) the NCSF's Craft Stall. We took £165 mainly from sales of jewellery. Many thanks to Claire, Julie, Sam & Sophie,Kath and Lindsay for helping on the night. We have two craft fairs next weekend so get crafting everyone!

Craft Sale, NHS Bristol

We held the first of a number of craft sales at the NHS in Bristol. This went very well with taking of £220 - thanks to Mary, Julie, Claire and Margaret for their help on the day. Thanks also goes to all those that made items for the craft stall.

Brook Activity Centre, Bradley Stoke

Good food, good music and excellent company equalled a night to remember on a night to remember. Very many thanks to all those that helped especially Shona and Kathryn, not forgetting Lindsay and Claire with the food - hot and spicy (the food that is). Thanks also to the Band "Friget" who were a great success and who also made a generous donation to the Foundation. Thanks also to Gee-Bee travel for their kind donation.

URC Hall, Muller Road, Bristol

Although attendance was not great we made over £200 for the Foundation. Many thanks to all those that gave their time to help organise and help on the day.

Bristol Half Marathon

Well done to Sally Gillard and Kathryn Kelly who ran in the Bristol Half Marathon and raised £435 for our charity. Sally ran the race in 2hrs 28mins and Kathryn completed it in 2hrs 22mins!. Many thanks to them and all the sponsors who supported them.

Cranfield University, Shrivenham

The Short Course and Symposia Office have raised a further £25 by participants in their weekly Fatty Club Weigh-in making a total of £50 - their canteen must do some pretty good food! It's 50p in the pot for each 1lb put on.

Cow Dung Party

This was held at Dulhorn Farm in North Somerset and there were excellent prizes for those picking the right square. The right square being the one that the cow "cow-patted" in! This was a great success potentially raising over £500 for the Foundation.

Many thanks to Wendy & Phil for organising it and to farm owners for the use of their cows and field.

We managed to raise £265 with our various World Cup sweepstakes, well done to all those who made it work and to those that played.

Honda Head Office, Langley

Special thanks to Honda and in particular Neil for raising £100 for the Support Foundation. This was achieved by having a weight-in after Christmas and paying a fine accordingly!

Burns Night - Little Stoke Lane Community Hall

The night was a roaring success with great Haggis and the odd drop of Whiskey! Traditional Scottish dancing followed the feast, traditional in that nobody knew any of the steps!

The night raised over £500 for the Support Funs. many thanks to all those that helped with the organisation, especially Mary and Wendy who selfishly tasted the Whiskey at 11:00 in the morning!
