NCSF United & NCSF United Res - Bristol Downs League

All Saints Cup - Quarter Finals - May 2021

NCSF United start the 2021/22 season with a newly formed reserves team to go alongside the already established first team.

Due to large numbers already in the squad and a real appetite from current players and management to create a second team the ambition has become a reality. During the summer a big recruitment drive was headed up by Arun Hall NCSF UTD reserve team Manager and 1st team player Charlie Parnham. Great effort and hard work from all involved has paid off.

NCSF First Team is managed by Scott Bullock now play in Division 3 of the Downs League and the reserves are in Division 4. We have 2 new sponsors to help with all the cost that goes into entering 2 teams into the Downs league as well as our usual support from our NCSF Charity.

Sponsor 1- Post it 4 me, which is our very own first team winger Charlie Parnham’s family business.

The Kings Arms part of Wickwar Brewery and NCSF UTD’S go to pub after games, supported by General Manager and NCSF UTD player Fillipo Figini. Great move forward for the club and ultimately greater representation of the charity now having 40 plus players signed on who all really are here to support the charity.

This has already been demonstrated by members of our squads who participated in a 10k run raising over £600. The players are really looking to give back to the charity and this is the reason they joined the team.

The team welcome support so if you can make it up to the Bristol Downs on a Saturday afternoon for 2pm you will be very welcome.

Also new players welcome so if you are interested please get in contact. Please keep a look out for events and socials held by NCSF UTD to which we welcome all.

The Bristol Downs Association Football League is an English football league based in the city of Bristol.

It is a completely standalone league system which does not feed into the English football league pyramid.

The Downs League is unusual in that all matches are played on one site, namely the large open spaces known as Clifton Down and Durdham Down (“The Downs”).

The Downs League was formed in 1905 with 30 founder members, all of them teams who were already playing in the city and on the Downs’ many pitches. Two of the founder member clubs, St Andrews and Sneyd Park, remain in the league to this day, with Clifton St Vincents joining the league in its second season and also clocking up 100 years of membership.

Today the league boasts 43 teams in four divisions.

There are also two knockout cup competitions – the Norman Hardy Cup (for teams from Divisions One and Two) and the All Saints Cup (for teams from Divisions Three and Four).
