Trustees

The Nicola Corry Support Foundation is a registered charity and currently has the following trustees.

Carl Lander - Chair
Carl, passionate about the NHS, commenced his NHS career twelve years ago as a Registered Nurse, moved via a variety of different roles in both clinical and non clinical settings to an HR Management position. Carl recently took up a post as a Regional Programme Manager working with public sector organisations to manage change and develop leadership capacity for quality improvement.

Carl brings a range of experience to the charity and wants to help develop its governanceframework to ensure the charity abides by its responsibilities as a public body and also give the charity the appropriate leadership to expand. In his spare time he is a keen reader of biographies, has a family venture of backyard poultry keeping and setting up their new allotment......

Lindsay Kelly-Otieno - Vice Chair
As one of the founders and a friend of Nicola's it is amazing to be part of the NCSF. I really enjoy organising charity events to raise money and raise awareness of the Charity. Nicola was an inspiration her fight and love for life and her memory will live on through the charity. The families and people we help and meet along the way will hopefully see and feel Nic's spirit through the work we do.

" I am passionate about the work we are doing as a charity and feel a sense of achievement every time we are able to help make a difference to the families at such a difficult time."

Wendy Gillard - Treasurer
Wendy is a State Registered midwife, a job she has done for 30 years. "I get so much pleasure from the work I do for this charity, by just knowing that I can make a difference to young unfortunate families affected by cancer. This gives me the energy and motivation to continue the work I do as a trustee and fundraiser.

Claire Corry - Charity Secretary
"Achieving charity status is something I know my sister Nicola would have wanted, she fought so hard and was so thankful for all the Foundation did for her to help her through the struggle. Continuing the charity in her memory is something positive we can do to help as many families as possible who face a similar situation to the one she faced. We miss her terribly but I know she is guiding us in achieving our 'vision' ".

Claire is currently working as Senior Human Resource Advisor for NHS, Bristol Primary Care trust and is fully qualified as required by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD). She has a BA Hons in Tourism & Leisure Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

John Corry
John maintains the website together with all things IT. For the past ten years John has been the Managing Director of a Computer Consultancy, before that a IT Project Manager with National Power. He has a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies.

Kathryn Kelly
Kathryn is another recent appointment as a Trustee, she was a close friend of Nicola and has been closely involved with the Charity from the start. Kath is very keen that the problems highlighted and the lessons learnt during Nicola's illness should be used to help others in a similar position.

It is the Charity's policy to have all Trustees checked with the Criminal Records Bureau.
