Three Peaks Challenge - Wheatfield Primary School
A team was made up of parents and members of staff from Wheatfield Primary School took on the 'Three Peaks Challenge!' . This involved climbing the peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours, including the traveling time in between mountains!. Each member of the team gained sponsorship for this challenge, the proceeds of which will be split between 4 different charities, one of which is 'The Nicola Corry Support Foundation'. The other charities which have been chosen have close links with other members of our school community. |
Claire ( Alfie's teacher!) describes the day:
"We climbed Ben Nevis on the evening of Friday 30th May and got to the top (which was covered in snow!) in just over 3 hours! We then drove through the night to Scafell Pike, which we started climbing at about 4.30am! We all got up to the top in just over 2 hours and then set off for Snowdon! |
